A transfer only succeeds when the domain is ready at the current registrar.
- The domain must be at least 60 days old
- Unlock the domain at your current registrar
- Get the EPP / authorisation code
- Make sure the admin email on the WHOIS record still works
What happens during the transfer
We copy your existing DNS records first, then submit the transfer. Your website and email keep running throughout. Most transfers finish within five days, and a successful transfer adds one year to your expiry date.

- Will my website go down during a transfer?
- No. We replicate your DNS records before the transfer completes, so traffic and email continue uninterrupted.
- Do I lose the time left on my current registration?
- No. The remaining time is carried over and a further year is added.
